Base bowl

Both a catch-all and a table plinth the Base bowl was inspired by the often overlooked base structure of a neoclassical column.

A reversible piece of tableware, Base can be used as a table plinth for elevating or styling a revered table centerpiece or turned over for a catch-all. The rebated circle forms a slight indent to stop your treasures from spilling out or sliding away. 

Each Base bowl has been individually customised by the designers' own hands in their studio in Portugal. This first batch of tablewares has been blackened with fire and sealed with a natural ‘Tung’ oil. 

The blackening process means that variations are to be expected and each piece will be unique. They are then branded with the designer wax seal for proof of authenticity. The natural ripples and irregularities of the burnt timber are reflected in the circular table top
